Introduction
Project Story
At IZZO I owned the entire product design from the ground up, covering everything from public-facing marketing to the core platform experience. This meant thinking across multiple user types and contexts simultaneously: potential customers landing on the site for the first time, event-goers discovering and managing events and organisers who needed powerful but intuitive tools behind the scenes. On the web platform I designed the prospect and landing pages alongside the main product, where the focus was on making event discovery feel effortless while handling a lot of underlying complexity. The admin tools were a different kind of challenge, building interfaces that gave organisers real control over uploading, managing and measuring their events without overwhelming them. What made this project particularly formative was the scope. Owning a full product ecosystem solo means every decision has downstream consequences. To keep everything consistent across marketing, platform and admin tools, I built a design system from the ground up, defining reusable components, patterns and guidelines that scaled with the product as it grew. That system became the foundation that made it possible to move fast without losing coherence. The collaboration with development was tight throughout. With a startup moving fast, design had to be practical and buildable, which pushed me to stay close to constraints, iterate quickly and communicate decisions clearly rather than designing in isolation.
